Where great relationships are built with intention.
Whether you are preparing for marriage, navigating a relationship, or recovering from one,
our programmes meet you where you are and give you tools that stay with you after the sessions end.
Unlike many existing counselling services, which are typically reactive and delivered by general counsellors or psychologists once problems have emerged, this service takes a proactive and preventative approach. It helps individuals and couples identify potential challenges early, develop the skills and understanding needed to build healthy relationships, and access practical guidance and tools to address issues before they escalate.
Some of the most meaningful things in life begin in unexpected ways.
In November 2022, American counsellor Daniel Wright arrived at the Orthodox Christian Monastery of Saint John the Baptist in Essex, England, during a personal pilgrimage that had taken him across the world. At the monastery, he met Angelos Moir, who was a project manager at the time and had visited to pay his respects and give thanks at the resting place of Saint Sophrony the Athonite, the monastery's founder.
What began as a chance meeting quickly developed into a genuine friendship. After leaving the monastery, both men continued on their separate journeys, yet they stayed in contact and remained connected.
Over time, Daniel shared with Angelos something he had spent over 15 years developing and refining: a comprehensive collection of psychological insights, practical tools, relationship frameworks, and counselling resources designed to help couples prepare for one of life's most important commitments—marriage.
For years, Daniel had used this material to guide couples through the premarital stage, helping them build stronger foundations, navigate challenges before they arose, and enter marriage with greater understanding, confidence, and purpose.
Recognising the value of the material, Angelos undertook the task of organising, structuring, and transforming it into a clear and practical premarital programme that couples could follow step by step. Once completed, he returned it to Daniel, expecting him to continue his work with couples as he always had.
Daniel, however, had something else in mind.
Believing deeply in both the programme and Angelos' ability to deliver it, Daniel encouraged him to take the lead. Angelos went on to undertake further training obtaining a certificate in Family, Marriage and Couples Counselling. Then, through a period of mentoring and coaching, Daniel passed on not only the material itself but also the principles, experience, and wisdom gained from decades of helping people build healthy relationships.
Today, that work continues.
This programme combines proven psychological understanding with practical relationship-building tools to help couples prepare intentionally for marriage. It is designed for those who want more than simply getting through the wedding day; it is for couples who want to build a relationship that is resilient, meaningful, and capable of thriving through every season of life.
Realising that some people are not yet there, but still wish to prepare themselves and strengthen their relationships, additional programmes based on the same principles as the original were created.
What began as an unexpected meeting at a monastery has grown into a three-piece suite of programmes dedicated to helping people at every stage of their lives lay the strongest possible foundation for a lasting and fulfilling marriage.
